Card Leak: More Japanese Promos!

Well, we got some more Promo reveals today, including some that weren't meant to be leaked. But spoiler alert: They're all fairly mediocre.
Palossand-GX – Fighting – HP210
Stage 1 – Evolves from Sandygast
[F][C][C] Eerie Light: 60 damage. Your opponent’s Active Pokemon is now Confused.
[F][F][C][C] Life Absorb: 100 damage. Heal 20 damage from this Pokemon.
[F][F][C][C] Sand Fear-GX: 60x damage. Look at the top 13 cards of your opponent’s deck. Discard as many Pokemon you find there as you like. This attack does 60 damage for each Pokemon you discarded. Your opponent shuffles the remaining cards back into their deck. (You can only use 1 GX attack per game.)
When 1 of your Pokemon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 4
The only thing going for Palossand is its RIDICULOUS GX Attack, which deals heavy damage, disrupts, AND mills and the same time. It's really, REALLY freakin' good.
Thing is, nothing else about Palossand is good, and I'm not playing any Evolution GX just for a damaging GX attack. I might do it for a supportive GX attack, like Solgaleo-GX, but not for a 4-Energy massacre.
Latias – Psychic – HP100
Basic Pokemon
Ability: Flight Support
All of your Latios have 0 Retreat.
[P] Mist Gale: 30 damage. Heal 30 damage from each of your Benched Pokemon.
Weakness: Psychic (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1
Latias only exists to compliment the appearance of Latios in Shining Legends. Past that, there isn't a single thing good about it. Filler at its worst.
Hiker – Trainer
Look at the top 5 cards of either your deck or your opponent’s deck and choose 1 card. Shuffle the remaining cards back into that deck, then put the card you chose on top of that deck.
You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).
Hiker is the only card here that I could forsee being played at all. I like how it can disrupt an opponent by forcing them to draw into something unsatisfactory. This effect seems especially good in mill decks and stall decks.
Hydreigon – Darkness – HP160
Stage 2 – Evolves from Zweilous
Ability: Screen Out
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may discard your Benched Pokemon and all cards attached to them until you have 3 Benched Pokemon left.
[D][D][C] Dark Destroy: 120 damage. You may discard an Energy attached to this Pokemon. If you do, discard an Energy attached to your opponent’s Active Pokemon.
Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 2
I seriously don't understand the point of this card. Why would you ever need to run a bulky Stage 2 just for the sake of clearing away your Bench? Is there a combo in SM4 that specifically works with this card? Clearly I'm missing something, because there's no way they would release something as utterly useless as this as a Booster Box Promo. I just can't see it.

Regigigas – Colorless – HP180
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Ancient Seal
If you don’t have Regirock, Registeel, and Regice in play, this Pokemon can’t attack.
[C][C][C][C][C] Giant Stomp: 160 damage. Discard a Stadium card in play.
Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 4
Don't bother getting all of the Regis in play to use Gigas: Just run Alolan Muk SM and you're good to go. I'd rather run a single Stage 1 than three different Basics.
Past that, Regigigas is... weird. It has huge HP and a very damaging attack, but I just don't see a Five-Energy attacker being practical at all in this meta. EVERY deck is gonna run Tapu-Lele-GX post-rotation, and there's NO WAY a five-Energy attacker is gonna work in a format like that. Gardevoir-GX and Espeon-GX pose major threats to this card, too.

  1. I thought the translation of Latias gave all your Pokémon free retreat if Latios was in play?

    1. So the translation was changed? Pokebeach just says 'all of your Latios have 0 Retreat'. Where di you get your translation from?
